Create Users

Now that the group is created you need to create the user and finally assign it to the group. To do this you need to follow these steps:

  • From the [Users & Groups] > [User Manager] menu select [Create a new user].

  • Now type an "User name", the "Full name", the "Email address" and a password for your user.

  • Set a language for the user to view the reports in. The users will be able to change their language later from [Settings] > [Locale Settings].

  • Choose the Access level for your user.

    When creating an user you can choose from three levels of access:

    • Administrator - the user will have the same administrative rights as you have, like creating profiles, administrating users and groups, manage filters, logs, changing settings or scheduled tasks. But the user will not have permission to change your password.

    • User - the user will have permission to edit settings for profiles.

    • Viewer - the user will have permission to view reports only.

    If you set the access level for a user "Administrator", that user will be automatically assigned to the "Administrators" group.

  • Finally click on the [Create a new user] button to finish.
