Advanced Web Stats needs to be run on a computer where a web server has already been installed.

JavaScript capable browser
|

|
The Advanced Web Stats reports make use of JavaScript, therefore you need a JavaScript capable browser (most browsers are) in order to see the reports.

Admin Privileges in NT
|
|
|
In Windows NT you need to log in as an Administrator in order to install Advanced Web Stats. This is required because only the administrator can create the IIS virtual directory needed to run Advanced Web Stats.

|
Root Access in UNIX
|
|
|
On some UNIX systems, you need to log in as root to write in the root directory of your web server. You may also need root access to change the owner of the files to match the user.group under which your web server is running.
